Medical referrals can sometimes be ideal — or even necessary — to smoothen the overall patient experience and reduce care gaps.
There will be times when, no matter how hard you try, you just won’t be able to determine how to best help your patient. Or sometimes, you might need to refer to a specialist for a different alternative opinion because two heads can be better than one. In similar circumstances, or if you find yourself in a situation where it is difficult to communicate with your patient, or you are overbooked and can’t see them in a timely manner, doctor referrals could be the solution. This isn’t defeat, it is a mutual goal to diagnose a patient in the most efficient way.

Dr Simonas Grybauskas is open for invitations to lecture at national and international events. Lecturing proposals should be sent 6-8 months in advance in case of a live event and 1-2 months in advance in case of an online event and include detailed event information (date, format (live/virtual), requested lecture topic and duration, lecturing conditions).
